This morning, Elizabeth and Isla spent time at Salamanca Market in Hobart, walking through the stalls, meeting locals, and sharing conversations about our advocacy work.
Our T-shirts sparked many discussions. Some people stopped to chat, with overwhelming support expressed for protecting children in schools and upholding parents’ rights. Many were appalled at what is happening in the education system.

Many people also showed their support on social media, but one comment stood out:
“It’s great that people are supportive and appalled, but they need to be more vocal. So glad you’re out there spreading the word!”
These moments matter. Every conversation in the community helps build visibility, raises awareness, and brings forward real stories from Tasmanians who are concerned about the direction of school policies.
Our time at Salamanca reinforced the importance of being on the ground—listening, talking, and ensuring that the voices of parents and community members are heard. It’s through this grassroots engagement that we strengthen our focus and continue to grow support for our work in safeguarding children and defending women’s and parents’ rights.
