1. The harm caused by puberty blockers is well-established and has led to the ban of these drugs in England, Sweden, Finland, and Norway. Children are unable to consent to life-changing treatment, and yet this treatment is being practised in Tasmania with no evaluation. Will you support a Parliamentary Inquiry into the Tasmanian Gender Service and the affirmative care approach?
2. In other jurisdictions they are reversing the decision to have “inclusive spaces” (where biological sex is not a consideration). These spaces are prisons and women’s refuges, sporting organisations and providers of single sex facilities/services. Many in the Tasmanian community agree with this reversal. Will you support a Parliamentary Inquiry into Sex Self-ID laws?
WST congratulate these candidates for their courage in publicly supporting these Inquiries in the lead up to the election.
