One Nation Senators Sign Women’s Pledge Australia

Women Speak Tasmania today joined Senators from One Nation outside Federal Parliament as they signed on to Women’s Pledge Australia, a national initiative calling on elected representatives to commit to protecting women’s sex-based rights.

Dr Elizabeth Caballero from WST stood alongside Senators Malcolm Roberts and Tyron Whitten as they publicly pledged their support. One Nation leader Senator Pauline Hanson also endorsed the pledge, announcing that the party will introduce an amendment to the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 to restore the biological definitions of women and men.

Senator Hanson congratulated Women Speak Tasmania for leading the initiative and reminded Australians of the long struggle women endured for equality:

“Since the days before Federation, generations of brave Australian women have fought for equality, for the right to vote, for the right to privacy and safety, for their own sports and for recognition. This war was largely won until a new front was opened by radical gender ideology, threatening almost everything Australian women have achieved over decades.”

Hanson warned that legislative changes under the Gillard Labor government replaced biological definitions in the Sex Discrimination Act with gender identity, enabling biological males to access women’s sports, organisations, and private spaces.

“Australian women have been abandoned, silenced, betrayed by politicians who pretend they champion women’s rights but actively work to undermine them,” she said.
“One Nation will always fight for these basic rights for Australian women, and I’m proud to have signed the pledge to protect them.”

Senator Roberts echoed this sentiment, stating:

“This isn’t complicated. Women are female, biologically, factually, and legally. But somewhere along the way, that truth was pushed aside by activists and politicians who’d rather appease than protect. We’re standing up for the rights of Australian women and we won’t back down.”

Women Speak Tasmania welcomed the strong stand by One Nation senators, noting that more elected members from local, state, and federal governments across Australia are now signing the pledge.

The Women’s Pledge campaign continues to gather momentum, demanding that sex-based rights for women and girls are recognised, respected, and restored in law and policy.
